(1) If you don't pay child support, you lose your drivers license. I wonder how these "dead beats" are going to be able to work if they can't drive back and forth to work every day.
(2) If you don't pay child support, you won't be able to get your hunting and fishing license. Scary and harsh punishment (not)
The state spent 154 Million collecting back child support and apparently that isn't working if we are now going to start taking their licenses.
I agree, something needs to be done to force these "dead beats" to step up and take responsibility for THEIR children, I am not sure this is the correct approach.
I do not know what the answer to this is either...but taking license and preventing them from going to work is stupid. I also know of cases that are outrageous. The wife leaves a man and screams "alimony and child support" and the court makes the man pay so much money he can't live....so he doesnt pay. Let's see....pay rent and car payment or child support....dont pay car payment get repoed..cant go to work...cant pay child support ,go to jail....cant work if in jail...I AM A WOMAN BY THE WAY....I have seen this happen to a man trying to take care of his family. Then their are others who have the money and are spiteful and just plain REFUSE to pay. Should be a case by case thing.
Well if they aren't paying the child support anyway...what is the difference? The one that has custody isn't seeing the money when they are working so let it hit them with their living expenses and see how they like it!
