I was wondering what people's thoughts about fireworks are. AC is pretty strict on firworks laws and I was hoping that there was some interest in relaxing the laws a bit. There are other cities in Kansas that have relaxed their fireworks bans to match the State Laws. Hutchinson is a primary example of a city who had a long time ban and a few years ago relaxed the ban and from what I've heard there really hasn't been any more fires than with the ban. Its all in how you look at the whole picture.
I agree these laws should be relaxed. But that won't happen with this kind of thinking......

Now keep that in mind while lighting your snakes and smoke bombs kiddies!
How about a one day lifting of the band, say on the 4th?! If an increase in fires is the issue, how about getting the FD folks ready for a possible problem...sounds reasonable, but restricting an American citizen's freedom is so much more fun!!!
