traffic at casino

It is tragic about the folks that died at the casino  and I feel bad for the truck driver, evan though he was not injured he will have that moment in his mind forever.
Looks like the car pulled out in front of the truck. This happens so much. People pull out in front of a vehicle and have only inches to spare. Why can they wait a few more seconds until the traffic clears and then go?
That is a bad stretch of road. It was before the casinos came in and there was no plan to make a different road,so now there is a problem. But it still all goes back to the driver paying attention to the traffic and waiting until it is clear to pull on to the highway. The one person was partl;y ejected. So they may not have been wearing the seat belt.
The tribes are not going to put in any side roads or help with the problem. There is another bad spot where the traffic comes off 166 onto county road 11 and then turns on county road 10 to go to the highway 77 and then to the casino, they do not drive safely either. There is local folks that use those roads and farm equipment out and they have to watch for the careless drivers. all the folks going to the casinos is getting there to see how much money they can win.
77 has work traffic ,travelers going through, and casino traffic. No one group is gping to step up and make a different road. It still comes down to the driver and being patient. sunflower

The problem with traffic at the Casino entrances is without a doubt real and has caused lives.

Is there a simple answer?

YES!

The Casinos at their own cost could install "Traffic Lights".  Two sets of traffic lights would slow and control the entrances to and from the Casinos, and at no cost to the Tax Payers.  I am sure if asked each Casino would gladly install and pay for them instead of being known as a "Death Trap Area".

This would be a simple and permanent fix!

Blessings.........Annlee
