Arkansas City lost one of its last great icons on Monday, Oscar A. Kimmell. He was a great representation of what this city used to be. He was honest, hard working, fair, and most of all he truly cared for his fellow man. He was more than ready to help any friend, family member or complete stranger. He believed in this city and volunteered much of his personal time to improving it and those who live in it. He always had a smile and a kind word for anyone he came across. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Oscar will surely agree he was an inspiration and friend. He will be missed.
