So my daughter comes home from school today and tells me that some football players got caught drinking this weekend and they are off the football team. I hope this is not true.
Which part do you hope for? I hope you aren't saying you think they shouldn't be kicked off of the team. However, if you are saying it is shame that they were drinking then I agree with you. Perhaps this will teach them a valuable lesson on responsibility. Just because you are a football player doesn't mean you get to do whatever you want.
I am hoping they weren't drinking. And yes, they should be kicked off the team if they were. I understand that a couple of them had a chance for a scholorship. Too bad they have to let their ego's get in the way.
Just found this on Newscow, one game? They shouldn't be allowed to play the rest of the season and should be banned from all school activities. They better make sure they follow the same procedure when the next bunch of kids gets caught. Might as well release their names, when you go to the game Friday night, we will be able to tell.

Some members of the Arkansas City High School football team will not play in Friday's home game against Newton because they violated school district policy and team rules, a district official said Tuesday.
The number of players suspended from the team is not known because the district is still determining who was involved, to what degree they were involved and how they will be disciplined, Alisha Call, an Ark City schools spokesperson said.
The game is set for 7 p.m. Friday at Curry Field.
Because there were differing circumstances with these students, (district officials) are still kind of finalizing that, Call said when asked how many players were suspended. We take our district policies and our school policies very seriously. The proper disciplinary action will be taken on each student.
Names of players will not be released due to privacy concerns and the district would not comment as to which rules or policies were broken, she said.
From what I have gathered, there is still question as to the involvement of one member, but the others are gone for sure. I know names, but I'll hold onto them for now because my info could be wrong, High School girls do have a tendency to get facts wrong haha.
Jake, maybe you can help me on this one, but what does "the castle" look like and where exactly is it located? Pretty sure I know who owns the property that his party or whatever was on.

Ha, I really wouldn't have been able to answer that prior to their arrest. I can't be sure, but I think that it's a Mexican-ish style building down the street from my friend's house.
Thanks, I only asked because the only information I could gather about it was from my sister, and she falls victim to bad gossip pretty easily so I couldn't be sure about her judgement haha. I am suprised that he police didn't state the place they were busted out...I know for a fact they usually do that from my own similar incident...makes me think all the more that they were on my friends property when they shouldn't have been...which also makes me wonder why they we're notified about it.
