It's a long way to the election. I can't wait to see what happens with any of them. I'll bet we see a full complete and undeniable meltdown by someone before it is time to vote.
It's been way too calm. Something has got to break loose. I just feel it. I'm not throwing in my hat for anyone.
Yes please, I would much rather have a President who has anti-American, Black theology believing mentor. It is pure hatred. That would make me feel so much better than a supposed war-mongering, lying, get-even-for-daddy, oil loving President.
There has to be a reason some of the evil dictators & terrorists want Obama to win, don't ya think? I'm starting to think Hillary actually looks good compared to Obama & I thought I would never say that!!
This whole thing is really bothering me. I think he's alot more of a 'Politician' than he wants us to know. What are they teaching the children of this church? It scares me. And I would hope a man that wants to be President of the United States would not attend the church of a man with these strong beliefs. It really bothers me. It's not a left vs. right thing.
I have to agree. I think he must feel the same, or he would find another church. However, I'm disappointed in Hilary. What's with the storytelling? I guessed that she could be dishonest, but thought she was smart enough not to expose herself like that. What the heck? Then, we have McCain who likes to flip-flop all over the place. You never know what he believes. Oh, and he says he's not real smart on the economy? What is America to do?
He can't control what someone else says, but he DID know how his preacher stood on issues and called him his MENTOR. Most people don't use that word lightly. If after 20 years he really didn't know where his "mentor" stood on this stuff that shows bad judgement and that's not exactly what we need in a President.
And he sure quit his pastor/church after he said he wouldn't didn't he? He doesn't care what it takes to become President -- I hope Michelle doesn't say anything wrong. Maybe that's why she's been so quiet lately?
He used the Chicago political machine and now it has come back to bite him in the a$$. But he's trying to pass himself off as new and fresh and not politics as usual-- he's been playing the politcal game from the beginning.
To me McCain just represents the exact same thing Bush stands for the last 8yrs. He's all for giving big corporations tax breaks even when they ship jobs overseas, and has no clue about the economy or even how many houses he owns(Seriously The Economy is STrong ??) HE's out of touch, 72yrs old with signs of dementia and is not MOre of what the country needs. We need a Change, He's been in congress, what over 26yrs and agrees with Bush over 90% of the time. Expecting Change from the SAME exact party is hubris... McCain also is willing to stay in Iraq 100yrs if we need to, a stupid war on FALSE pretense that is costing american tax payers TRillions of dollars let alone 4,100+++ soldiers and over 95,000 civilian deaths..
Does Obama preacher matter, I dont think so.. I have plenty of really close friends even relatives/parents that say or do what they want it DOES NOT mean I agree with them or think like them.. I think people just want to believe the word "barack obama" stands for some type of RAdical terroristic Muslim ..
"...we've heard my former pastor...use incendiary language to express views that have the potential not only to widen the racial divide, but views that denigrate both the greatness and the goodness of our nation; that rightly offend white and black alike. I have already condemned, in unequivocal terms, the statements of Reverend Wright that have caused such controversy. For some, nagging questions remain. Did I know him to be an occasionally fierce critic of American domestic and foreign policy? Of course. Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely just as I'm sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.
But the remarks that have caused this recent firestorm weren't simply controversial. They weren't simply a religious leader's effort to speak out against perceived injustice. Instead, they expressed a profoundly distorted view of this country a view that sees white racism as endemic, and that elevates what is wrong with America above all that we know is right with America."
"The fact that so many people are surprised to hear that anger in some of Reverend Wright's sermons simply reminds us of the old truism that the most segregated hour in American life occurs on Sunday morning. That anger is not always productive...it keeps us from squarely facing our own complicity in our condition, and prevents the African-American community from forging the alliances it needs to bring about real change. But the anger is real; it is powerful; and to simply wish it away, to condemn it without understanding its roots, only serves to widen the chasm of misunderstanding that exists between the races"

Lets see McCains character, A guy who cheated and lied several times to his wife and family. A family that waited and supported him the whole time he was POW in vietnam.. After screwing several different women he found a 24yr woman, he was 42yrs old at the time,(how sweet?).. yup the now Cindy McCain a rich girl with Daddy's money backed by Annheuser-busch. After a year McCain decides to walk out on his wife&kids.. a wife that still loved him and her only explanation was "After John turned 40, he decided he wanted to be 20 again." He did all of this while he was married.. a man that is the nominee of the "family value party" The guy also graduated 894th out of 899 lol fifth from the bottom of his class, and classmates say the only reason he did pass is because Daddy was an admiral.
Obama worked hard for everything he has in short, the guy grew up with no father figure. His grandparents, a middle class family, took care of him in hawaii while his mother was in Indonesia were she later died of ovarian cancer. He goes to columbia university in NYC majored in political science with a specialization in internation relations and graduates with a B.A. Degree. He goes to work in Chicago as commuinty organizer , helps and gets to know alot of the lower class people. He then enters Havard law school, were after his first year he becomes the editor of the law review board based on his grades and writing. After the 2nd year he was elected President of the law review. He works with a law firm and meets his wife Michelle , graduates from Havard goes back to Chicago and teaches constituional law at the University of Chicago law school for twelve years were then later he becomes a Senator...
Tell me who worked for everything they have, and who was GIvEN what they have? McCain rode the "feel sorry for me I was a POW" his whole life, the guy has really not accomplished anything.. Obama's worked for everything he has at age 40 compared to McCains lets find a rich 24yr old daddys girl at age 40 speaks ALOT ABOUT CHARACTER...
Ummm, I can agree with you on this one. If he was a local politician and someone we actually knew, we would all be inclined to hold his divorce/marriage against him. Funny how things like that do not matter when they are in big cities far, far away.
