Omg....theres been a horrible smell there at times. Couple days ago I got caught at the red light and I almost threw up before it turned green...kids were gagging. What the heck is it and can it be fixed soon? There is no alternate route to get to town so i have to suffere thru that stop light...and I know one of these days im gonna be hanging out of my car puking on the road...almost did already.
Yup, It's Kan Pac sewer. When the story was on KWCH ( Yes folks the story was on KWCH- How's that for embarrassing) They said that they are working on it. I feel bad for anyone who lives over there, I would be so mad to smell that day in and day out. They said that it would be fixed within 30 days, we'll see....
AS long as you have a group of City commissioners who are business owners, you will not get them to do anything negative to each other. The Mayor is plant manager

Be a responsible for your environment you only get one shot at it
Get Involved here JJ do some hard core investigating get the facts on this one and blow this wide open,,,
you can not get results on this issue if you do not complain to the right agency, the city will do nothing for you on this one
Who is in control here??? Rick RUsh???? Jim Sybrant??? maybe we can just put plywood over everything and it will be ok
Come on Greenpeace! Get your facts right, the mayor is not the plant manager! Our mayor was the project manager of SeaWorld! Wish we could get a big fish.
Patrick i would be glad to give you complete credit for either way it comes out,,are you willing to accept it
It wouldn't make sense to give me credit. I didn't have much at all to do with it. I was part of the commission that required Kanpak to pretreat their waste, though that was only locally. The state required them to upgrade their waste treatment to be able to work with the city sewer.
Kudos to Kanpak for upgrading their facility and for being able to resolve their waste issue.
With a little patience in a couple of weeks this part of the construction will be over with and we can go back to normal, with a bigger better Kanpak hiring more people.
