I am interested in everyones thoughts of a casino being placed outside of Wellington. As a resident of Wellington I have supported it 100% and I am very pleased the Sumner County Comissioners only endorsed the Wellington exit. Thursday Mulvanes City Manager Hixson called Gus Collins and told him they will not annex Exit 33 and will not support that location any longer. I see this as project as being very benificial for Sumner and Cowley Countys, there's going too be lots of jobs created by this casino and the out growth is going to have a direct impact on both our countys. What do you all think?
Totally support it being in Wellington. By placing one here in the area maybe it will keep more revenue in the state of kansas....The Mulvane idea was not a good one....Too many against it....Wellington is happy and I am happy.
I find it highly amusing that one of the groups whose proposal for a Mulvane location was not endorsed has now presented an updated proposal moving it to another corner of the Wellington/160 exit. Will be interested to see if that influences the Sumner County Commissioners into including them in the endorsed proposals.
