I noticed the AC Tumbleweeds were not in the parade this year. Also I think because the visiting queens were grouped together instead of in individual vehicles that might have made it seem like more stuff was visiting.
I, for one, was glad that the parade was shorter than usual. As much as my family and I look forward to Arkalalah, we are always ready to leave about 3/4 of the way through the parade. When the visiting queens came through in groups instead of using a different car for each, my wie and I both said that it would be nice if they continued that in years to come, to cut down on entries.
Is it my imagination or was there some stuff missing that has been there before? Less shriners? something seemed like it was missing this year? maybe I am imagining.....no...I know SOME stuff wasnt there this year. Anyone know why?
The Beta Sigma Phi sorority didn't have a car in the parade this year because we couldn't come up with gals who wanted to ride. Doubt hat we were really badly missed.
I just want to see more floats and bands. They are the best part! Actually, I like the night parade with all of the lights. I'd like to see that one grow!
