I guess I didn't specify that the reason I wrote that is because the kid that broke the record already has a year of junior college ball under his belt. There are many guys from my time and before that could have came back down to the high school level after competing at the college level and been very successfull. Big XII pitchers or Winfield pitchers? Easy to figure that one out.
In the spirit of baseball as we know it today, I would like an asteric next to the new single season batting average mark that broke mine...Yes this is Collin. If I could have came back and played legion ball after my first year at KSU I might have hit over .750 and more than 15 HR. But congrats to the kid anyway...
Although I don't know the specifics of your post, I do hate it when they change the circumstances surrounding records and then say that someone has broken that record even though it was under totally different (in some cases easier) circumstances.
