RE: Local Childhood Cancer Heros To be Honored

First Off We'd like to thank all of the Fire Department And Cowley County Jail Staff for supporting our efforts to bring awareness to Childhood Cancer during our St. Baldrick's Day Event on Saturday!  We'd also like to thank Jim Miller for helping us with our cookout and New Life Fellowship Church for allowing us to use their table and chairs!

We are proud that we were able to Raise Over $350 for the St. BAldrick's Foundation!  We really hope that next year will be an even bigger success!

Our hearts were with Christopher as he shaved Carl Whatley's head and then had the rest of his shaved! We ended up with over 20 people shaving their heads to show solidarity to kids with cancer!  We were amazed at the out pouring from the Fire Dept and Cowley County Jail staff, Thank you guys for making this a success!  I'd also like to thank Jocelyn Rue for being the only female to shave her head for these Kids!  My heart goes out to all of you for making the 1st St. Baldrick's Day event a great success.

I'd like to point out that KSN covered our event but The ARKANSAS CITY TRAVELER didnt even bother to show up!  It saddens me that covering the weather is more important then a human interest story!
