Exactly what is the story of Camp Horizon. It's a camp I've grown to enjoy and love. Yet, you go to their web site and it's under re-construction. You call, and get an answering service they can set up an appointment but won't tell you what happened to past friends you worked with? What really happened. New directors, well I worked under the old as well as their executive director and I didn't have a problem in fact they brought the camp up. So what is the real story about two couples taking over the camp directors position in April? What is the true story and what is the fate of such a sacred camp. Do any of you know the true history and what it was built on? I do? It was for the town and as a former resident of Ark City I want to know what happened - someone tell the truth - and what is the future of the camp?
Heaven, Isn't Camp Horizon sponsored by a church? If it is, you may be able to find out from the church. I am not too familiar with Camp Horizon personally but will ask around for you as you are from out of town I see. Give me some time to find out. I will have to say I agree with you, it is a wonderfully beautiful place to spend time. As a child I spent a lot of time at Camp Quaker Haven, I do remember the wonderful times I spent there.
