If it's not too bad, you can buy some creosote sweeping logs at wally world that are suppossed to clean the creosote off. BUT, if it has not been cleaned in years you may need to have someone come clean it. There are ads in the traveler fairly often for chimney sweeps. Or, you could just wait till christmas, and santa will scrape alot of it off with his butt.
