I invite all residents of Arkansas City to visit my Christmas Yard displays.
They are turned on at dusk and remain on for 4 hours: As we near Christmas I will extend the on times.
Many are animated and have living sounds, so you just may desire to roll down that window a tid bit...lol

Many chnages have been done on the area around the house which have been so interesting. And, surprising like winning the Nelson Award.
Inside is also undergoing changes.
The displays are an item we sure enjoy, although this year we have haulted the water displays during winter.
We hope many will sit on down and relax in the Joy of the Holidays.

If anyone in Arkansas City has a "Santa Suit", and would like to play Santa in the displays...I have a great place for a Santa to sit, and I am sure would make for great pictures for the kids...
If your interested please stop on down and lets see if we can set up Santa appearances and possible picture taking for families.

1. People assisting wanted them up as did I. 2. One drop of Joy is worth not being a scrooge. 3. Lights are up all over...if one looks to see them!
4. I like Christmas, and sharing the wonder of it's joy, and even its' peace.
5. Why would my lights up early worry any one? That is a great question?
I am sorry you cannot see beyond set dates by advertisers: But, even in that regard the stores and malls have their Christmas displays turned on. As do I !
Sharing one bit of a smile to another is worth the early lights to some: But, not early enough as I would like...LOL...Friends had time to assist, and we went with them and still it took seven days as each had to be done so Kansas winds would not destroy: And, smaller sets of lights are still going up on a day to day basis. I am sorry you think I missed Thanksgiving, but in reality...I did not!

Driving around Arkansas City last night I was so pleased to see some wonderfull and exciting Christmas Yards all a glow and twinkeling lights set the season on high. I discovered far more than expected and they each were a joy to behold.
Rumor has it! Santa Claus at times will be seen at my Christmas Yard Display!
Starting tonight the lights will be on from dusk and remain on for 6 hours....I apologise to all those who drove by last night when the timers started shutting down the dislays, and you were not able to see them all lit up.
Seeing the Christmas Displays from the City Fathers also reminds me they need a Thank You to. A wonderful season is here even though our nation is going through a hard economy changing day by day. Yet! The Spirit of the citizens still shines so brightly in Arkansas City!

New additions to lights have been added, including from a friend a life size singing and dancing snowman. Also, another 1000 plus lights not in the video.
We appreciate any ideas or suggestions!
Rumor has it: "Live Singers" are in the works! We will update here ! If this becomes possible!

Everyone is welcome to take photos, and even photos with your children and Santa or Mrs Clause. Tis the season of sharing the Spirit of Christmas!

The lights also have a walk through that leads to Santa's swing, and Santa's work shop is on the porch viewable from the sidewalk.
