Randy Emerson For Sheriff

I just read the ad in the paper and went to his website. I highly recommend viewing this site. I don't know Mr. Emerson but I found his number in the phone book. I called him Sunday evening to ask some questions. He told me we could talk over the phone or he would come to Ark City to meet me. I remember Mr. Emerson ran for Sheriff 4 years ago but I am not the best at keeping up with politics, so I didn't remember much about him. It does however sound like Mr. Emerson has some really good goals if he is elected. He said these are in the process of being added to his website. He also said there will be an email address to contact him by and links to stories written about him. He sounds as professional as his website makes him look. I think he is just what the Sheriff's department needs. The website is emerson4sheriff.com

Hey bent,
I tried to access the site and couldn't get it to work. I am very interested in reading more about Randy and what he has planned for this county. I think you are right. It is time for a change and he may be the one to do it. I did a google search and so far found only articles in archives on him. If you can attach the web site that would be great! Thanks!

Maybe I've just become suspicious, but after seeing another thread where a woman masqueraded as a man, claiming no knowledge of the situation, in order to embarrass her business client with a sock-puppet attack, this posting just appears to be a campaign ad. It seems overly flowery and promotional for someone who just found Emerson's phone number.

I have met Randy, and he seems like a nice guy, but this looks like a political ad rather than a discussion point. I could be wrong, but it reads like a thinly veiled masquerade with "ulterior motives".

P.S. Can't be the other guy/(gal) because this person has good sentence structure and can spell properly. Chuck and new to c.c. (and the other names "chuck" used) wrote at a 5th grade level with numerous spelling, subject/verb and syntax errors. ;)

Randy, is it you?

I'm sorry, that was a little mean.
I apologize to the 5th graders.
In reviewing it, they don't write that poorly.

Well to me I don't care if it is an ad, we had people pushing a business for a long time and no one said a word. For me I would like to be informed on who is running and what they have to offer the public. So, if "bent" is trying to put a good word in for Randy I am ready to listen. The things he is saying was positive and we have a shortage of positives on this site as it is. So give me the site attachment "bent" and I will check out this site. And no, I am not related to Randy or have any special interest in him. He is just a topic like any other on here. Only this posting happened to be a positive one.

Lagonda, No, but thanks for the Kudos on my grammer. Also after reading my post I see what you mean, It does look a little like an ad. However in the back of my mind that is probably just what I wanted it to look like. Upon further reflection though I do believe it does make for a great discussion point. Weather it is an ad or not politics is all about discssion. Also I did not just find his phone number, I went to the phone book to specifically look it up.

Again I think the discussion point is obvious. I think that a change in our Sheriff Department is long overdue. I think Mr. Emerson will bring a fresh look to the Department as well as new Ideas. It seems our presidential candidates are taking the word "change" to new hieghts so why not do it on our local level also.

I also think that anyone who runs 2 campaings shows how serious he or she is about that position. I wish I could remember all the changes that he told about or I wish I had written them down, I can say that while talking to him I was very impressed.

Thank you webmaster, I did find it on my own eventually, I was using google search engine and for some reason it wasn't bringing it up. When I got on Yahoo, it brought it right up. Thanks for the site though there may be others that will want to check it out. I too think it is time for a change. Randy may be what we need. Since this is a political office it is time for some new blood. From the top down. There may be many new deputies but change will only happen from the top down. That will only come by electing new people. Randy if you are out there good luck!smile
