I would like to se a new forum dedicated for replying to editorials printed in The Traveler. We know that many editorials submitted will never see the light of day but those that are printed often reflect the opinions of the community. Therefore we should have an outlet for replying to those lucky few. Maybe someone important in this city will read this forum and find many more voices that need to be heard. P.S. You can copy and paste but if they don't allow the post then it is worth nothing. I would like to know why Alsup got the 10% raise when he is making already $81 thousand a year. I am interested in hearing some other opinions on this. I copied and pasted the article from the Traveler in regard to it but it hasn't been posted as of yet. Below is the results of the Winfield Courier Poll in regard to what the citizens think about Bonfy and Wilson voting to give this Alsup guy this raise. I would like to find out a few things. What does he do? Is it his reponsibilty to try to convince industry to come to Cowley? If so, what is the average of pay rates these industries pay? How many of them pay enough to make at least $80 thou a year per employee? Any one else care to remark? If you even halfway believe these polls may be right, sounds like most every one thinks Alsup made enough before the pay raise. I know I do.
