Can we in this fair city of our's admit that we are no different than the rest of our country. That we are not doing enough to help out those who's income and medical ins is not what it should be. And that the city and chamber board, and the college should be looking at ways to make it less costly to see a doctor, by a home, set up a retirement, or even get a higher level of education. I am tired of only seeing most of the jobs come in that will not and can not even come close to giving someone a income of a middle class living. What difference does a neiborhood home investment do for you if you cannot afford the down payment without taken something out of your kids mouths like food or not takeing them. They say things are suppose to be better in smaller communities were people share and are suppose to care more about each other why not here. Can we stop looking at how much we make and look she how much more can we do with what we have. I think we are ranked muched to high in this state for free and reduced lunches wich is directly related to our incomes and job availability. Maybe if we stop building new dorms for a while and let some if the vacant house's around here be occupied by youger people our community would be as vibrant as it was from the 60's to the mid 80's.
