You are right when you state that both men a women are found to be stalking now days. But the largest percentage of stalkers are men. I just read in the paper where the lady stalking a famous actress tried to run over the actress's husband when he told her to leave the premise. So you are right, both men a women can be equally dangerous. But that still doesn't mean that the nut case's here in our county need to be let run free till the hurt someone or worse yet, kill someone. But the law doesn't allow for us to confine someone for what might be. It is a pity someone has to pay the ultimate sacrifice before the law can get them off the streets.

If you look at the majority of the sex offenders anywhere they are mostly male!  Given there are some women that are found.  But I havent personaly been stalked or been assulted by a woman.  I was speaking from my own personal experiences!  Like I mentioned is that ALL SEX OFFENDERS need to be banished from communities as well as crack heads that have arrested more then twice!  This town needs to really decide if its worth saving!  I'm begining to think not!  I'm so tired of dealing with all the drunks, druggies, and sex offenders that are given more rights then anyone else!  If the cops know that they are meth heads bust them and get them out! 

Fairy Tales, I know you are frustrated as we all are that live here and have to deal with these kinds of people. But, as you have read in some of the other threads, the officers and deputies are busting these druggies and they go to court, and the courts and the county attorney lets them out. The courts sometimes are not hard enough on them and the CA sometimes pleas down to avoid lenthy court cases. So if you are frustrated with the system you need to focus on where the problem lies. We are all concerned about the community as it is right now. And we all need to be aware of the things that are going on around us.  

If you know they have a history of praying on others then get rid of them! How complicated can it really be? 

There are some complications to making a case on these perps. To make a case you have to have rock solid proof, photos,wittnesses, ect....and you have to prove their intent was to do harm. And that is hard to do sometimes unfortunatly till harm is done. For the most part I don't know a officer in this county that would allow a sex offender to continue harm to the citizens. It is just hard to prove unless you have a good solid case.

Why not make laws to protect citizens rather then pass stupid laws that have a bad effect on the citizens.

Granted, some of the ordinances the past commission has come up with are silly, but those are the easy ones to pass. Sexual offenders have lost some rights, they have their pictures posted on a state website and have to check in with local athorities yearly to make sure they are living here and can still be found by local athorities.

I'm sorry that this town has become so bad that I am so willing to move my family, home and business to another town that has a better economy and safe places to live! 

While Philidelphia is a large city, and the move more than likely was good for your family, it is doubtful that you will find a town or a city that will not have this type thing going on. Even small towns like Oxford and Cedarvale have a certain amount of drug abuse and sexual preditors going on. It is not so much our town as it is our society as a whole.

In 1995 I brought my family here because I had grown up here and thought it would be safer then living In Philidelphia where my children were beating by 14 colored girls just because she was a white girl walking home.  I thought it would be safer then having large rocks thrown through our living room windows just because I turned in a car being smashed with a baseball bat!  I thought that my children would be safer from the taunting and torement of being from the midwest and living in a ignorrant community!  I thought my children would be safer from the drugs that were delt on every corner there.  Boy, was I wrong!

I do think you did a good thing by moving your family Fairy tales, although your daughter still may have been involved with drugs here, hopfully it was not to the extent that it may have been while living in PA. As far as racial issues, I know we are not free from those things here but they are not as huge as it is in larger cities with gangs and such. We are not perfect here by any means but we are not like Wichita that has drive by's every week and sometimes twice a week. 

  Now, I deal with drunk neighbors at my home and bussiness and the police still dont protect us.  My daughter still didnt ecsape being a drug abuser.  I still deal with bb's being shot at my cars and grandchildren.  Every weekend I have to clean up broken beer bottles smashed in my parking lot at my shop.  So, can someone please tell me how or why I should continue to live in this place?

As far as the parking lot at your shop, Do you have it posted for no parking except for Fairy Tales customers? If you post it for no parking except for Fairy Tales customers, and allow the PD to know and enforce it that may help you out some, I know they will eforce it if the parking lot is truly your property. At home post no trespassing signs on your property and let the drunk neighbors know they are not welcome, if they don't leave it is an arrestible offense. Call the cops!

I hope this helps you a bit, I too know that it gets frustrating with things that cannot be controled. All we can do is what we CAN do and hope for the best.

It terrifies me that another sex offender is causing people here to live in fear!  I personaly am scared because this guy was in my shop several times and told my daughter that she was "his Type" and that she was pretty!  He had come in on several occasions just to chit chat about things around town and then he showed up with a girl.  The girl came back later and requsted to borrow money because they had their water turned off.  I promptly told her we were not a bank or lending establishment.  A few days later my daughter was working at the shop by herself when he came back in and asked if he postdate some checks and write them over the amount so he could get cash back.  She told him also that we were not a bank or lending establishment and that she had work to do so she didnt have time to talk to him at length.  When she told him about this we decided not to let him come in again.  Then he showed up again and I told him that we were not going to let him write a check nor were we going to loan them any money.  He then left. Just a few days later he was arrested for stalking that girl.  I'm sickened that my daughter could of been hurt by this creep and that I should of known that he was monster!  My daughter is now terrified that once he is out of jail that she might be next for him.  He only lives a few blocks from our shop and knows when and who is there!  How would anyone know if he came to harm her since we dont have a lot of customer traffic.  What if he hurts her and she cant call the police?  All these things are running through my mind and makes me so angry that sex offenders are allowed to run loose in our community!  I've had enough of these creeps and would like nothing better then to ban them and send them to their own little community filled with people of their own kind!
